What is Gridmaster,
and why use it?
Gridmaster is a Figma plugin for building precise grids in seconds.
Grids sit beneath so much illustration and design work, yet drawing them by hand is slow and fiddly. Figma’s pattern fills can repeat a tile, but you can’t edit the result as a whole.
Pick a frame, choose a grid, and Gridmaster works it out pixel-perfectly for you: floors, squares, dots, layouts or diagonals. Every line arrives as an editable stroke.

floor grid
Perspective floors that recede to a vanishing point. Set the angle and slide the point until it fits your scene.
flat grid
Square cells that divide your frame exactly. Pick a cell size and you’re left with no stray pixels.
dotted grid
Evenly spaced dots across the whole frame. Handy for notebook textures and quiet alignment guides.
layout grid
Columns, rows, gutters and margins in one go. Block out a page layout before you place a thing.
diagonal grid
Evenly spaced lines at a 45° angle, running edge to edge. Good for hatching, shading and striped backgrounds.

Grab the zip from GitHub and unzip it anywhere.
Figma desktop → Plugins → Development → Import plugin from manifest… → pick manifest.json.
Right-click the canvas → Plugins → Development → Grid Master by Rikki Janae.
